Below is a copy of the Cornerstone Masonic Historical Society annual report for 2014. We have been working hard to achieve the ultimate goal of obtaining our permanent charter, working on a series of renovations, and fundraising and we need your support!

Children of all ages are welcome to visit and get a photo taken with Santa.
Friends of McGarrah's Inn will be standing in for Santa's helpers, taking pictures and welcoming guests. Light refreshments, including hot chocolate will be served.
Photos with Santa will be $10.00 (two for $15.00) and provided on the spot to parents. Other seasonal items may be available for purchase, subject to availability. Historical society members who sign up (or renew) their membership for the 2015 year will receive a special discount on any purchase made that day.
All proceeds from the event support ongoing renovations of the building. We are also providing an opportunity to create a free child I.D. card for the safety of your child at a separate table.
Santa asked us to also accept non-perishable food on that day to give to our local food pantry, and unwrapped new toys in their packaging for the Toys for Tots program. Friends of McGarrah’s will take care of dropping off your donations.

Join us as we participate in the Monroe Clean-Sweep program to make our town and village a cleaner place to live and work. We begin, with other groups from Monroe, on Saturday, April 26 at 8 AM at St. Anastasia Church, Rt. 17M,for coffee and bagels, pick up a tee shirt and junk bags and proceed to clean up along Stage Rd and Maple St.
Then we spruce up the grounds of McGarrah's Stagecoach Inn, do some cleaning inside, enjoy a hot dog lunch about 11 AM. We will conclude at 12 noon. Doug MacKenzie has secured donations of plant fertilizer, rakes, plants as well as the food for lunch. Please join us to help make this community event successful!

The following narrative is from the Annual Report of the Cornerstone Masonic Historical Society submitted by the President of the Board.
Dear Brothers of Cornerstone Lodge #711 Free & Accepted Masons & Members of Cornerstone Masonic Historical Society:
The CMHS has just finished another successful year as the community outreach arm of Cornerstone Masonic Lodge #711. This communication will serve as our Annual Report (see back of this page); the notice of our annual meeting, and that 2014 dues for individual members should be cheerfully sent to the above address. Your donation is greatly appreciated and we depend on it for the continued expenses of our organization.
A highlight of the year 2013 was the involvement of CMHS in the renewal of the Monroe landmark, the Korean War Sabre Jet in Crane Park acquired by our member the late Ford R. Dally in 1963. We received the cooperation of the mayor and trustees of the Village of Monroe and moved the plane forward in the park. It is now on a concrete base waiting further renewal in the spring. In addition, we are amazed at the great interest in our home, McGarrah’s Stagecoach Inn and Museum has received from paranormal investigators. Currently several groups are ready to visit, film, and observe. We are an internet hit, and this activity has become an excellent fund raiser.
PLEASE HELP US CONTINUE OUR MISSION OF COMMUNITY SERVICE BY SENDING YOUR ANNUAL DONATION (DUES) OF $20.00. If each of the 100 members of Cornerstone Lodge #711 and the Masonic Historical Society (Masons and non Masons) contributed this month it would make our continued fund raising efforts a bit easier. You may become a life-member for a donation of $200 .00. and don’t forget – WE WELCOME monetary gifts from corporations through donations and grants.

The Cornerstone Masonic Historical Society is hosting an all-day Pancake Breakfast at McGarrah’s Inn on 300 Stage Road in Monroe, NY. The event will run from 7 a.m. to 7p.m, on the Election Day, November 6th, 2012. All party affiliations welcome. Come celebrate the end of the campaigns with us!
Cost of the breakfast: $7.00 for Adults, $6.00 for seniors, $5.00 for kids.
In the Month of November, the Cornerstone Masonic Historical Society, located at 300 Stage Road in Monroe, NY is hosting a silent auction of the Wallkill River School of Arts of paintings of historical and scenic Monroe, NY. Pictured is Shawn Dell Joyce putting finishing touches on of the artworks available in this special auction. The public will have the opportunity to place bids on the artworks at the public viewings and special events listed below.
November 6th, starting at 7pm sharp: Special Presentation of the Cornerstone Masonic Historical Society "Arts in the Hudson Valley: Continuing Traditions of the Plein Air Painters." CMHS board president, Paul Miller, is generously providing the public with an opportunity to view a portion of his private collection of the Hudson Valley River School of Art created in the mid 1800's. In addition Mr. Miller will give a presentation of the history of the Plein Air Artists from the famous school, and will be joined by Lorraine Furey of Wallkill River School of Art, an organization of artists that continue this tradition today. This event is free, and Refreshments will be served.
Public viewings of the artwork will be on October 26th, November 3rd and November 16th from 1-4 pm, and at the Pancake Breakfast hosted by the Historical Society on November 5th, from 7a.m to 7p.m.
The art show will culminate with a formal artists reception on November 17th, 3-6 pm where winning bids will be announced. Refreshments will be served. This event is also free to attend. The building is handicapped accessible. Part of the proceeds of this event benefit the ongoing restoration and maintenance of McGarrah’s Inn, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Linda Zimmermann, author and ghost expert ,begins the evening of ghostly
events at 7 PM with a lecture on “This Haunted House – The Truth.”
Bring wives, husbands, children, friends, and neighbors for this timely presentation on what's old at McGarrah's Stagecoach Inn, 300 Stage Rd. Monroe, NY.
And that's not all. Following the lecture, a ghost tour will be conducted by Ghost
Master, George Crinnion, for anyone not familiar with McGarrah's ghosts.
A donation of $5.00 per adult is suggested for those attending the tour. Children are free. The tour should begin at 8 PM. Refreshments will be provided for all during and after the tour.
The Board of Trustees of CMHS will meet following the ghost lecture and
during the tour in the living room.
