Members from the Cornerstone Masonic Lodge 711 and the Historical Society are reaching out to the public for donations to help residents caught in recent severely flooded areas. Volunteers from World Wide Relief Alliance are driving a truck to South Carolina filled with items needed by the victims of this terrible flood. CMHS is helping out by offering our property as a drop off point for goods that will be driven down to the South Carolina Emergency Services offices. All donations must be dropped off by Sunday, October 18th by 6pm. People will be coming to the site every day, so dropping off goods on the porch facing the parking lot of McGarrah’s Inn is OK.
Our members call South Carolina Emergency Services and got a list of what is needed the most:
Cleaning products
Garbage bags
Any type of non-perishable canned food – ones with pop tops are preferred, but any type of canned food will be accepted.
Bottled Water
Toilet Paper
Paper towels
Paper plates, bowls, utensils
New clothing
